On January 1, 2012, thirteen-year-old Alexander Frye took his own life. Alexander was a bright boy who was usually quiet and shy among his peers. Like too many other children across this country, he was often teased and bullied by his classmates. His family believes this bullying played a major role in his suicide.
Hooray for Kindness is an online fundraiser in his memory to help prevent other children from experiencing this type of cruelty. All donations and auction proceeds collected through Hooray for Kindness will be donated at the end of the event to Bully Bust. Bully Bust helps schools-in-need put an end to bullying with targeted school-wide and classroom-based efforts. This type of positive school-wide commitment has been shown to reduce bullying by 50%.
My favorite item in the auction is this handcrafted plate by Paloma's Nest, which reads "YOU ARE SPECIAL TODAY".
You can also make a donation! Donors who give $20 or more will get this little felt heart thank you pin!
Take a moment to bid on an auction item or make a donation in loving memory of Alexander Frye.

Just singing along..
We live down the street from a fire station, so we very regularly find Kaiah sitting by the window or sitting up in our bed, and have to pause our walks to let her focus on the noise. It is music to my ears and always makes me smile!
